We were proudly honored to welcome the delegation from the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture – Directorate of Technical and Vocational Educational Training (TVET), along with the Honorable Minister of Works and Transport, during a formal site visit to assess progress on the TransNamib Locomotive & Steel and other Project.
This milestone engagement served as a powerful reaffirmation of the growing synergy between public institutions and local manufacturing, highlighting the essential role of TVET skills development, industrial capacity building, and national innovation.
“We are happy to see the progress. This is a clear sign that local manufacturing is not just possible – it is happening.” – Honorable Minister of Works and Transport.
The visit underscored Namibia’s commitment to unlocking local potential and advancing transformative projects that respond directly to national infrastructure needs. WMF remains proud to be at the forefront of this effort, combining technical excellence, industrial resilience, and a deep belief in the power of home grown solutions.
We look forward to continued collaboration as we build not only locomotives etc., but also the future of transport in Namibia.
